Remember smaller budgets may mean purchasing a pre-owned RV that will need some TLC.

Exterior:

  • Excessive delamination (most pre-owned have some minor delamitation)

  • Cracked or dry seals.

  • Any visible damage to the outside of the RV?

  • Test and check exterior towing lights.

  • Tire condition, do they have dry rot?

  • Are the propane tanks up to code? Does the propane regulator or hose need replacing?

  • Is the roof sealed properly?

Interior:

  • Check for and ask about any soft spots in the floor.

  • Look for any water stains on the ceiling or walls. (May be a sign of a water leak ask your sales person about the stains and if the leak has been repaired)

  • Ask about the condition of the holding tanks and the waste water valves.
