RV Review: 2025 Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S

Written by Campers Inn RV | March 04, 2025

Forest River’s 2025 Rockwood Mini Lite is the latest installation in one of the most popular RV series so far. People love the Mini Lites, and for good reason! There are a lot of features packed into this relatively small and lightweight trailer, and it has a great price point for all of those features. Past versions of the Mini Lite like the 2024 2515S and the 2023 2205S have been praised for the amount of storage and sleeping space they carry. However, these past versions have also been criticized for small things that the manufacturer may have overlooked, like noisy air conditioners and cramped showers. So we thought we’d give you a review of the newest Mini Lite Forest River has produced: the 2025 Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S.

This new Rockwood Mini Lite lives up to its “Lite” namesake at just under 4,500 lbs, making it easily towable for most trucks and even some compact SUVs. It sleeps three, and has one slideout and a 14-ft awning to cover its outside griddle, perfect for cooking pancakes in the early morning air. Additionally, it has a full kitchen, a full bathroom, and plenty of storage for your clothes, groceries, and camping equipment. All of the 2024 and 2025 Mini Lites have solar power and Wi-Fi prep included, making it easier to begin camping after you’ve made your purchase. The Mini Lite 2109’s price is usually between $30,000 and $35,000, depending on your dealership.

First, let’s talk about the pros. At roughly $31,000 with Campers Inn, this trailer has a great amount of liveable space and a wonderful amount of storage for its price point. Two people should be able to comfortably fit everything they need for a week-long trip, and amenities like a queen bed and a full kitchen and bathroom will ensure that the couple is comfortable throughout the entire journey. The A/C, furnace, and insulation are also high quality, meaning that you should be able to travel year-round if you live in an area with moderate temperatures. We also love the included solar panels and wifi prep, which ensure that buyers won’t have to pay much beyond the purchasing price to get on the road, especially when combined with the trailer’s low dry weight. This is a great camper for weekend warriors, couples looking to travel far from home, and single travellers going on a long trip.

Now for the cons. Some are not a huge fan of the semi-private master bedroom, which only has a curtain dividing it from the rest of the camper. Then, while Forest River has fixed the shower’s height issue from its previous models, the shower could be hard to stretch out in. But this shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Despite this, the new Mini Lite is still a safe and reliable trailer, according to most buyers. If you ever run into any issues, our service centers should be able to quickly pinpoint and eliminate any issues with our free 12-point service inspection. So, you won't have to worry about what problems it may have after you’ve had it for a few years—all that’s left for you to do is come check one out and see if it’s right for you!
