Campers Inn RV is proud to honor a local American hero with a special reenlistment ceremony celebrating AWOC (NAC/AW) Zachary Haney, a United States Naval Aircrewman Operator, ahead of the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
The ceremony will be held in collaboration with Richard Childress Racing and will recognize Chief Haney’s 15 years of dedicated service to our country, as well as his commitment to continuing that service for years to come.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, Chief Haney has built a distinguished 15-year career in the U.S. Navy as an Acoustic Operator with the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Force. Throughout his career, he has served with VP-8, VP-10 and VP-30, supporting critical maritime operations around the world.
Chief Haney began his Navy career in 2011 aboard the P-3 Orion before transitioning to the P-8A Poseidon in 2015. His service has taken him on operational deployments supporting the Navy’s 4th, 5th and 7th Fleets, demonstrating his dedication, skill and commitment to protecting our nation.
Today, Chief Haney is stationed at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida.
But his service is far from over.
In November, Chief Haney will relocate to Dallas, Texas, where he will serve the next four years with OPNAV Sea Duty Component, Dallas Detachment.
Chief Haney and his wife, Brittany, have been married for 16 years and are the proud parents of two children, Griffin and Emmerson. This milestone represents not only Chief Haney’s continued commitment to the Navy, but also the dedication and support of the family that has stood beside him throughout his career.
A Special Celebration Ahead of the Race
The reenlistment ceremony will be a meaningful part of the excitement surrounding race weekend at Daytona International Speedway, bringing together family, friends and community partners to celebrate Chief Haney’s continued service.
Following the ceremony, The McLemore Boys, the father-son grilling duo, will host a special luncheon honoring Chief Haney and his service.
