Service Writer Jamy Dalton has worked at Campers Inn RV for 12 years, and regular customers will know her kind smile and affable demeanor. Campers Inn RV has become a home for her, and nothing makes her happier than helping customers with their RVs.
We took Jamy aside to talk about her experience working at Campers Inn RV.
When did you start your career in the RV Industry?
I started working at Campers Inn RV in March of 2003—March 17 to be exact. It was St. Patrick’s Day. That’s how I still remember.
What is your most memorable experience in the industry?
My most memorable moment would be redoing the Service and Parts store at our Kingston, NH location. I helped design the new layout—from picking the colors and figuring out the best layout to painting the walls and setting up new shelving.
What is your favorite part about working at Campers Inn RV?
I have read the previous blogs, so I know that the basic answer is “meeting new people”. But, I would really like to stress that we all say that for a reason: it is a great experience to see a new face walk in the door everyday. Meeting new people is a part of my job, and I really enjoy that.
You are known at Campers Inn RV of Kingston as “the lady that is always smiling and happy.” Why is that?
I really just enjoy what I do. It is a great experience to meet unfamiliar faces every day. It is so busy everyday that I don’t have the time to be upset or grumpy. My job is to help customers; to do it with a smile on my face makes it all the better. There is no time in this world to not be smiling. You only live once! You get one chance, and I’m going to use my chance happily.
Do you camp, and if so, where is your favorite place to camp?
YES I DO! My favorite place is Moose Hillock in Warren NH. It is a great campground for friends and familie.
What is your favorite part about working as a service writer at Campers Inn RV?
My favorite part is helping people. My fellow employees and I will do as much as we can to ensure a good experience at Camper Inn RV.
You have worked at Campers Inn RV for a long time, what keeps you here?
I have been working here since I was a kid. I love it here! I love the people I work with and the people that walk in the door everyday. It is easy to come to work, because I don’t feel like I am going to work. My family is at Campers Inn RV. We all get along, and we all would do anything to help out each other.
Are there any words of wisdom that you would like to give?
Love what you do and do it happily. Just a simple smile can change a person’s day.
