Lance Travel Trailers, Camp Anywhere during any Season

Written by Bernie Culliton | June 12, 2014

Campers Inn of Merrimack NH, are privileged to carry Lance Travel Trailers among our vast selection of trailer inventory. 2014 is Lance's 50th year in business producing the finest small RV's in the industry. For the last several decades, Lance has been the best selling Truck Camper in the country. Not because, they are the cheapest or the fanciest. But because, year after year they build the best built, most durable, easiest to use and most versatile camper in the industry.

So about 5 years ago, Lance decided to expand their product base into lightweight, 4 season travel trailers. For the last 3 of the 5 years Lance has been the fastest growing small travel trailer brand in the country.  The reason being, folks who seek quality of engineering and construction, extraordinary versatility in their camping experiences and economical towing options look for Lance Travel Trailers .
In December of 2012, I had the humbling experience to be invited to the Lance Manufacturing facility in Lancaster, CA by our regional Lance Representative, William Hill.  William was not only a fantastic host but also, an effective educator.  This was not the 1st manufacturing facility I had been to.   Yet was surprised as to the very different ways Lance did made their trailers compared to the competition.  William always enjoys communicating with campers as well.  Please contact him @ williamh@lancecampers.com.  Here are only a few of the reasons Lance stands alone in this industry segment.
1. California requires manufacturers to follow much strict EPA, OSHA and Civil guidelines.  In turn, the employees are much happier and there is less turnover.  This means, the work force has generally more tenure and experience than the rest of the RV industry.  As a matter of fact, the average employee at the Lancaster facility has been there more than 12 years.  It also means, Lance is EPA rated ECO-Green and has the highest commitment to being green possible.  Less Volatile Organic Compounds emitted during construction and lowest in the industry during usage.  No more watery eyes and runny noses one typically gets from trailers sitting in the sun.  The products they use do not use the same harsh chemicals.  As a result are great for campers with allergies.
2. Lance is a True 4 season trailer.  This camper is built like no other and great for winter camping.  All the cutting for any wall, ceiling, roof line, cabinets and furniture are all cut with CNC (computer numerical control) machines.  This procedure only allows the smallest tolerances for installation of Dual Pane Windows, Attaching the roof to the sidewalls, installing cabinets with out additional trim to cover the imperfections and unique contouring of featured installation which would be impossible in a traditional manufacturing environment.  The Azdel plastic composite, is used in lieu of luan to not only improve structural integrity and insulation but another benefit is, it doesn't absorb any moisture.  The same moisture which can cause de-lamination of other manufacturers sidewalls.  The Azdel is used on both sides of the wall and as a result is virtually impervious to water intrusion.  With the roto-plastic enclosed, astro-foil lined holding tanks and valve enclosures, the Lance can use full water options in any weather  The basement of the Lance Trailer is ready for what ever nature and the road have in store for it.  It is the most rugged and temperature controlled basement system in the industry.  See other construction and design details HERE.

3. Towability:  Lance has several floor plans which can be towed by a mid-size SUV such as: Honda Pilot, Toyota 4-Runner, Nissan Pathfinder, Chevrolet Blazer and Ford Explorer to name a few.  Lance realizes their customers do not all own pick-up trucks and may be more environmentally conscious as a whole and are looking for lightweight towing.  This is why Lance goes above and beyond with developing products which can be towed easily.  Their custom tempered steel lightweight chassis are specifically designed for durability and weight efficiency.  Their welded Aluminum Frame super structure is another example where less weight can be stronger than their competitors heavy-weight frames and chassis.  Also, the Torsion-bar suspension axles gives the trailer a virtual independent suspension road feel and reduces 'chucking" in rough road conditions.
It would be easy for me to go on and on and on some more.  But perhaps it's time to take a first hand look at Lance yourself.   I always tell my customers, "the more extreme the camping experience, the more likely you are to want to camp in a Lance".  You can take a Lance anywhere during any season and have a great camping experience.  Whether you are traveling to Death Valley or Denali National Park in Alaska, the Lance trailer is sutable for almost any camping condition.  To find out how Lance Trailers can fit into your camping style, call one of our Certified Lance Product Specialist at our Merrimack NH location by calling 603-883-1082.
