Stronger Together: RVWA x Campers Inn RV

Written by Campers Inn RV | March 17, 2025

We’re partnering with the RV Women’s Alliance to recognize some of the leading ladies here at Campers Inn!

We interviewed some of the people at Campers Inn who have helped RVWA to accomplish their mission.

Debbie Brunoforte:

In 2019, the President of RVWA invited me to help develop an organization dedicated to supporting women in the RV industry. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply involved in leadership roles—serving as Chairwoman of RVDA, Chairwoman of the RV/MH Hall of Fame, and chairing several committees for both RVIA and RVDA. My volunteer plate was certainly full, but how could I pass up such a worthy cause?

A small group of us came together, determined to create something meaningful. We formed a board of directors, selected the name RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA), and established a clear purpose: to Elevate, Educate, and Promote women in the RV industry. Recognizing the invaluable support of our male colleagues, we welcomed them as allies, knowing that many actively champion women in our field.

The rapid growth of RVWA surpassed even my expectations. What started as a small initiative quickly expanded to hundreds of members, and today, we are approaching 2,000 strong. I was particularly inspired by the large number of intelligent, passionate women stepping forward to lead. Wanting to make room for new voices, I made the decision to step off of the board, allowing others the opportunity to help shape the organization’s future.

Though no longer on the board, my commitment to RVWA remains steadfast. I continue to serve on a committee and actively encourage women across the industry to join us. It has been an incredible journey, and I’m honored to have played a part in the foundation of an organization that is making a real difference.

Destiny Tolliver:

I have had the pleasure of being on the committee for the RVWA Spring Campout for the past three years, and it has been such a rewarding journey. This year, I am excited to attend the event once again and look forward to the wonderful time we always have.

In addition to the Spring Campout, I have attended the Education Symposium and the Open House breakfast. Each event has been an incredible opportunity to connect with amazing women in the industry. The connections I have made through RVWA have been invaluable, and I am grateful for the positive impact RVWA is having on the industry.

RVWA is truly a fantastic organization, and I encourage anyone interested in becoming involved or attending an event to reach out. It is a wonderful way to build relationships and grow your network.

Laurie Hirsch:

One of the most impactful parts of being involved with the RV Women's Alliance (RVWA) is the opportunity to connect with women across the industry that I otherwise may never have met. RVWA brings together a diverse group of professionals who are passionate about the RV industry, creating a space where we can learn from each other, share experiences, and grow together. I am grateful for the connections, insights, and support this community provides as we work to strengthen and shape the future of the industry.

Laurie will be participating in RVWA's Women's History Month Panel  May 31, 2025 at 12pm. RSVP here now!

Megan Neighbors:

I have been actively involved with the RV Women's Alliance (RVWA), contributing to initiatives that support and empower women in the RV industry.

I served on the Open House Breakfast committee, helping to organize one of RVWA’s key networking events. More recently, I joined the RVWA Charitable Foundation as a board member, focusing on educational opportunities for women in the industry.

The foundation supports programs like the all-female technician classes and the annual symposium, ensuring that women have the resources and training needed to advance their careers. I am passionate about fostering growth and opportunities for women in the RV industry.
