Campers Inn RV aims to make a difference in the community and help families in need. That is why they have donated an astounding $700,000 to Care Camps’ mission.
Care Camps is a program which helps children who are going through cancer experience the outdoors at medically supervised camps with other children who are going through the same experience. Care Camps also provides support to families and siblings who are affected by cancer. This is truly a life-changing experience for children who are facing this battle and is a cause that many industry leaders have supported.
Nearly 3 quarters of a million dollars has been raised through Campers Inn RV employee payroll deductions, the corporate matching program, and special events in less than two years. This generous contribution not only reaffirmed the company's dedication to giving back to the community but also solidified Campers Inn’s position as the second-largest donor for this important cause, surpassing other major industry players.
Campers Inn RV initially launched the sponsorship with Care Camps through a golf tournament tied with the RV/MH Hall of Fame Dinner. Through this event, which was sponsored and hosted by Campers Inn RV, over ten thousand dollars was already raised.
Later in 2022, Campers Inn RV held its inaugural Glitter and Gold Gala, where the expectations were more than exceeded. This remarkable event raised over $500,00 for the Care Camps cause. The night was filled with excitement and generosity as attendees participated in a thrilling live auction, silent auction, and an enticing raffle.
To quote Care Camps Board of Directors Chair Wade Elliott, “The generosity of Campers Inn and the Hirsch family, coupled with their sincere passion to make a difference in the lives of others propels our mission to new heights.” Care Camps is a program that is near to the core values of Campers Inn RV, to make sure everyone whose lives they touch feel like family. Elliott adds, “Campers Inn’s commitment to Care Camps begins with their leadership, extends to their employee base, and ripples across the United States and Canada impacting thousands of children living with cancer and their families. Campers Inn’s leadership in their support of Care Camps is an example to the industry of giving back to their customer’s communities.”
To date, Campers Inn RV’s contributions will allow more than 12,000 children with cancer, 8,500 siblings and 6,000 parents to attend Care Camps. The donations also funded 190 grants for camps to aid with operations, to perform upgrades on structures and to buy equipment.
