I’m Hunter Leininger, a professional ultrarunner and endurance athlete, but my journey started long before I began running across entire countries. At just 7 years old, I convinced my dad to let me compete in my first 6-hour adventure race. And from that moment, I became obsessed with pushing limits and proving that age is just a number.
By the time I was 11 I had broken my first world record, becoming the Youngest Finisher of the 24-Hour Adventure Racing Nationals, shattering the previous record held by a 23-year-old. That was just the beginning. Over the years, I went on to set multiple records, including the Youngest Finisher of the 7-Day Adventure Racing World Championship and the World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji at just 18.
Fastest Traverse of Iceland (370 miles unsupported)
Fastest to run 1110 miles covering the length of Florida
2023 Solo Adventure Racing National Champion
Fastest to run 200 miles across Florida
On the team that set the Guinness World Record for the fastest to climb all 50 U.S. High Points
Multiple ultrarunning FKTs (Florida Trail, Benton Mackaye, Georgia AT, Skye Trail, and more!)
This summer, I’m setting out to attempt the most insane record possible, becoming the fastest person to run across America. That means running 3,000 miles in just 50 days from Canada to Mexico along the Continental Divide Trail!
To take on a challenge this massive, I need the right support system, and that’s where my Class B RV from Campers Inn RV comes in. Living on the road isn’t just about travel, it’s about creating the freedom to chase your biggest dreams. This RV is my home, recovery space, and command center all in one. It gives me a place to rest, refuel, and keep moving forward without worrying about logistics or comfort. The reliability of my RV means I can focus 100% on running instead of dealing with vehicle breakdowns or last-minute problems.
In preparation for my record attempt, I’ve been traveling through some of the most incredible training locations in the country; exploring the rugged trails of Montana, the remote wilderness of Idaho and Wyoming, the high-altitude peaks of Colorado, and the vast deserts of New Mexico. Having my RV means I can chase the best training conditions, adapt to different climates, and truly immerse myself in the landscapes I’ll be running across.
This journey is about more than just setting records; it’s about the freedom to explore, push my limits, and live life to the fullest on the road. I can’t wait to share this adventure with you all and show how my RV from Campers Inn is helping me chase my wildest dream yet: running across America!
